Narcissistic Abuse Recovery

Often, clients find themselves feeling confused about what is real, anxious about setting boundaries, or ashamed for “letting things go on this long.” Many were conditioned to minimize their pain or prioritize others to keep the peace. If you have felt unseen, blamed for everything, or emotionally drained, you are not imagining it.

You might have experienced or survived NPD abuse if you can relate to the some of the following:

  • Question your own memory or judgment because someone repeatedly dismissed it.
  • Feel guilty for having needs or saying no.
  • Stay hypervigilant to avoid conflict or criticism.
  • Keep cycling back to someone who hurts you.

How therapy helps

Therapy helps you name what happened, understand your trauma responses, and rebuild a sense of self that is not shaped by manipulation. You learn to recognize red flags, trust your instincts, and set boundaries that protect you. Healing from narcissistic abuse is difficult, but with support it becomes manageable and empowering rather than isolating.
